August - Registration for Illinois Regional tournament series starts. An announcement will be sent to all teams subscribed to the Announcement List.
September – FLL National registration closes when all slots are filled.
No specific closing date will be given by FIRST. Teams may not participate in Illinois tournament series if not registered nationally. *
September 2 - Food Factor Challenge is released
September 7 - NXT Training (Call-in web-based training from LEGO Education). Further details coming soon.
October 12 - NXT Training (Call-in web-based training from LEGO Education). Further details coming soon.
September and October - Coaches Meetings. Further details coming soon.
October 15 - Illinois Regional Tournament Registration Closes (2 Weeks After National)
October 31 - Regional Tournament Assignment Released
November 15 - RTC Contact With All Teams Complete
December 3 - Illinois Regional Tournaments at Urbana, Harvard and Streator
December 10 - Illinois Regional Tournaments at Crystal Lake, Miles Davis Academy, UIC, Lake Zurich, Peoria, Rockford and Zion
December 17 - Illinois Regional Tournaments at Batavia, Girl Scout Friendship Center in Country Club Hills and Mt. Prospect
December 18 - Illinois Regional Tournaments at Quest Academy in Palatine
January 20, 2012 - State Tournament (Judging for local teams or by request)
January 21, 2012 - State Tournament
April 25-28, 2012 FIRST World Festival at the Edward Jones Dome in St. Louis, MO
